The initial iPhone 4 Plans have been released by the major mobile companies Vodafone, 3, Optus and Telstra. Fortunately they offer far better value sompared with the corresponding iPhone 3GS plans about a year ago. Mobile companies are starting to realise that it’s important to be able to have a decent amount of data allowance on an iPhone

Vodafone
- iPhone plans ranging from $29 Cap per month up to $99 Unlimited plans
- with a current bonus the $49 iPhone Cap has 1.5GB of data per month!
- all iPhone Cap of $49 and higher receive bonus data of 1GB per month
- The 16GB iPhone 4 comes free on the $69 Cap and higher
- The 32GB iPhone 4 comes free on the $79 Cap and higher

3 Mobile
- iPhone plans ranging from $29 Cap to $79 Cap
- almost identical plans to Vodafone, but also have a $39 Cap, but no Unlimited plan
- 3 includes bonus data of either 500MB or 1GB per month on all plans

We have checked with Apple this afternoon and they won’t be confirming their outright price of the iPhone 4 until they start selling the phone in stores and online. That will be at midnight tonight.
